Terms and Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as these Terms) carefully as by booking with Parkgate Tours, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms, and indicate your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these Terms. All bookings made with us are subject to these Terms.
- YOUR CONTRACT
When you make a booking with Parkgate Tours, you are confirming that you have the authority to do so and to accept - and do accept - the Terms for every person on your tour, including children. Once we send you your booking confirmation invoice, you enter into a binding contract with us. The contract is made under these Terms which are governed by English Law and under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. - CONFIRMATION OF TOUR PRICING
Pricing will be confirmed to you on your confirmation invoice. The website provides a sample range of prices based on full-day tours and various pick-up/drop-off locations. Pricing will vary based on other circumstances, such as shortening a tour, or choosing different pick-up/drop-off locations other than those indicated on the website. Prices quoted are per group, not per person, and are quoted in British Pound Sterling. We are VAT registered and all prices include VAT. Your tour includes the exclusive hire of our vehicle for the agreed-upon duration of the tour, as well as for the guide services of Richard, your driver. - DEPOSITS
A deposit of 25% of the tour price (plus any agreed add-on's) is required to confirm your booking and is due within 5 working days of receipt of your confirmation invoice. A further 25% is due 28 days prior to your tour. Payment in full (the remaining 50%) is due 14 days prior to your tour. Should the balance not be paid in time, we reserve the right to cancel your tour and retain your deposit. - PAYMENT METHODS
Payments can made via bank transfer or credit/debit card through PayPal. A Booking Administration Fee of £7 is added for foreign exchange transfers to the Parkgate Tours bank account. - CHANGING YOUR TOUR
If you wish to change your booking after the confirmation invoice has been issued, you should contact us in writing as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your change request, but this may not always be possible given commitments to other clients. - SHOULD YOU NEED TO CANCEL YOUR TOUR
You may cancel your booking at any time, in writing. We will then acknowledge and confirm your cancellation. As we will have reserved the date for you and your party and will have incurred certain administration costs in setting up your tour, our refund policy is as follows:- More than four weeks prior to your tour: Full refund
- Three weeks prior to your tour: 75% refund
- Two weeks prior to your tour: 25% refund
- One week or less prior to your tour: no refund
- IF WE NEED TO CHANGE OR CANCEL YOUR TOUR
In very rare cases, we may need to either change or cancel a booking once it has been confirmed. Whilst we do our very best to avoid this, we must reserve the right to do so. Should we have to cancel or change your tour, we will tell you as soon as possible. You will then have the option of:- Agreeing on a new date for your tour
- Accepting the cancellation and receiving a full refund of all monies paid
- FORCE MAJEURE - EVENTS BEYOND OUR CONTROL
Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of "force majeure". In these Terms, "force majeure" means any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, epidemics and pandemics, fire and all similar events outside our control. - RAIN
Unfortunately, we have no influence over Mother Nature - and remember, this is England! So your tour will take place whether rain or shine (unless force majeure conditions apply). However, if your tour has a significant "outdoorsy" element to it, we are happy to suggest alternatives on the day and make alterations whenever possible according to your requests. - OUR INSURANCE
Parkgate Tours is covered by public liability insurance. Our vehicle is insured for private hire/hire and reward and we hold the correct licence as required by our local public authority. - TRAVEL INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that you (and all individuals in your group) obtain personal travel insurance and ensure that it is adequate for the full duration of your holiday, particularly with respect to accident, medical and repatriation expenses. Should you need to cancel your tour and incur cancellation charges as detailed above, you may be able to reclaim these fees under the terms of your travel insurance policy, if the reason for your cancellation is covered under your plan. You are responsible for indemnifying Parkgate Tours in full should we incur any expenses or losses due to your failure to obtain adequate travel insurance cover. - SMOKING
We kindly request that you refrain from smoking in our vehicle - it is against the law in private hire vehicles. This includes electronic cigarettes. However, we are happy to make "smoking stops" over the course of the tour. - PASSPORT, VISA, AND IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS
Parkgate Tours does not accept any responsibility if you are unable to travel because you have not complied with the appropriate passport, visa, or immigration formalities, as required given your individual circumstances. Your passport, visa, and immigration requirements are your responsibility and you should confirm these with the applicable Embassies and/or Consulates. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have done the needful in order to travel. - SPECIAL REQUESTS AND MEDICAL CONDITIONS/DISABILITIES/REDUCED MOBILITY
Wherever possible, we are happy to adopt our tours to suit the specific requirements of you and your group. However, if you or any member of your party has a medical condition or disability which may affect your tour or has any special requirements as a result of a medical condition or disability, or any mobility concerns, please tell us before you confirm your booking so that we can assist you in considering the suitability of the arrangements. In any event, you must give us full details in writing at the time of booking and whenever any change in the condition, disability or mobility occurs. You must also promptly advise us if any medical condition, disability or reduction in mobility which may affect your tour develops after your booking has been confirmed. - INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify Parkgate Tours in respect of any accident, personal injury, loss of life or loss/damage of property caused by you or members of your group during the tour. - EXCLUSIONS
Unless specifically detailed in your confirmation invoice, entrance fees, meals, accommodation on extended tours and mobile telephone calls are NOT included in the tour price. All incidental expenses should be settled directly. Charges for extra services should be agreed at the time.
